Open NiCd batteries are used in many different ways in large equipment requiring an independent electricity supply and also in portable devices like miner's lamps and emergency generators. We dismantle the cells and feed all of the components into materials recycling. This process also results in high-quality secondary materials.
From an economic point of view, recovery of nickel is increasingly taking priority when recycling nickel-cadmium batteries. |
