Wristwatches, pocket calculators and hearing aids: all of these small devices run on button cells. They generally contain up to 5% mercury and must therefore be processed separately from other batteries. REMONDIS performs high-level recycling. We use our unique vacuum distillation to recover the toxic metal from these tiny energy storage devices. This makes it possible for a valuable substance to be returned to the economic cycle!
