Too much moisture: Conditioning hazardous waste in TDP and drying facilities.
For some hazardous waste materials recycling does not make ecological or economic sense. They must be absolutely dry before they can be thermally recycled or deposited in a hazardous waste landfill. A complex conditioning process removes the free or bound liquids from solid or paste-like materials. In the process, condensates form which are recycled in different ways depending on their type and components. Solid materials remain, which can be put through material or thermal recycling with no problems. To dry our own waste products, we use the heat generated by our high-temperature incineration facility.
Range of treatment services includes e. g.
- Paint and varnish sludge
- Inorganic and organic sludge
- Distillation bottoms
- Tubes for distributing heating costs
- Coagulated varnish waste slurry
- Mineral slurry containing metal
- Spray cans
The German Federal Environment Agency lists our TDP as a BVT plant (best available technology) in the "Leaflet on the best available technologies for waste treatment plants" ("Merkblatt über die besten verfügbaren Techniken für Abfallbehandlungsanlagen").
